Alzheimer’s Charitable Support

The Alzheimer’s Society have been a charity partner of ours since 2013 and during this time, we’ve raised over £40,000 for them.

In 2015/16, for every £1 they received, 89p was spent on directly improving the lives of people with dementia. The other 11p went towards generating future income.

The Alzheimer’s Society are the only UK charity who invest in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. They’ve committed to spending £150 million on cutting-edge research over the next decade and every project they fund directly addresses the needs and concerns of people affected by dementia.

In June 2017, The Alzheimer’s Society announced their £5.6 million investment into the creation of three ‘Centres of Excellence’. Each centre focuses on key priorities in dementia care research, including improving quality of life, improving support after a diagnosis and maintaining independence at home.

Last year, their income increased from £90.7 million to £97.9 million which enabled them to spent 12% more on their work, meeting the needs of people affected by dementia, inspiring change and advancing research. Through their local services, monies raised directly helped over 100,000 people.

Let’s unite in the fight against dementia.  With the continued support of individuals and companies like ourselves, The Alzheimer’s Society will make even greater progress towards their vision of a world without this terrible disease.
